Welcome to my UA-cam channel where I share interesting recordings of classical music. I use the best available audio sources and, where necessary, I apply additional restoration processing to make it sound the best it can. To maximise audio quality I also upload each video with uncompressed lossless audio, the only lossy processing is done by UA-cam and not me.

Not Celibidache’s tempo
Just listen to those horns @3:05 which never should have been changed! That's the worst alteration of the revised version. And in this recording the tempos are very good. If you don't like the ending of the 1st movement in the original version, I'm sorry, I can't help you.
Polska jest dumna z Pana Zimermana !Skromny i pracowity .
Extraordinary Interpretation, BRAVO!
The reason I'm here is so different then everyone else. I'm watching this because parts of this music is used in one episode of the anime series "Space Cobra" when the mc uses the galaxys most advanced computer to solve the mystery of the the tattooed sisters treasure. It has the shape of a piano and you play it to use it... and he plays different parts of this. 😊 Also, some of the soundtrack uses it too... look for "Arata na Seikai e". Oh, by the way, the title means "to the new world". 😂
I have been chasing the perfect interpretation of this piece and this is it I think: powerful yet delicate, emotive without drama. this is the closest I've found to the studio recording I grew up listening to. Love it, thank you for uploading <3
Sublime, merci. ❤️
Best recording in my opinion
No one Jew in orchestra
By the way, no one Jew in orchestra
Celibidache nunca decepciona.
(01:11) I. Allegro non troppo e molto maestoso (23:53) II. Andantino semplice (32:31) III. Allegro con fuoco
Truly a giant!!!
I'd like very much to save this concert in a playlist of mine. Could yo please enable the function of 'save'? Thank you.
El tempo del Confutatis! Tremendo!
Listening to this performance anew one must Marvel at the virtuosity of this Peerless ensemble. Paradoxically this might make us forget the rightness of Eugene Ormandy 's interpretation. May I confess to being perplexed actually annoyed at the one listeners " Ormandy is good but .. " ?? Let me reiterate what I've often invited critics to do: Listen with your ears without a preconceived bias
Genius!!!!;
I can hear it over and over again, simply heaven on earth and one of the extremely rare moments where orchestral music reaches an unequalled depth and warmth. What an epic chef, what a symbiotic connection with each of the players...
Maravilloso ❤️!!!
One of the most beautiful piano concerto I've ever heard.
There has been no better Conductor and Pianist coordination than Mr. Bernstein and Mr. Zimerman.
❤❤❤please leave for ever...!!!!!!!
What's the name of the piece that begins at 2:12:20 ?
1:15
The Best💖💖🎼🎹
The best conductor, every nuance, the texture, sheer genius Mr. Celibidache.
31:50 - 33:20 Fate comes knocking on your door to get you. 34:20 - 35:05 - a dance with the grim reaper himself 49:30 - Trumpets accompany your last journey of your ascent to heaven, taken over by heavenly strings and horn throughout the adagio. One can only wonder what the 4th movement could have brought. A work of absolute breathtaking scope and depth. Hail Bruckner.
When I was in my teens, I listened a lot to Mahler, Shostakovich and Stravinsky and the likes. Now, in my 60s, I find this music so much more soothing and heartwarming. Echoes from different decades and composers and orchestrations that make me smile. To me, this is a beautiful piece, and I'm grateful to Cooper for composing it.
Beyond compare!
That first movement most certainly embodies "cheerfulness"! Can hardly wait to hear the rest.
The first, the greatest, the best. Strauss chose Flagstad and told her to choose the best, and she did: Furtwängler. “Autumnal” beauty at its deepest...
He makes sound the Eight not as a “small” symphony between the Seventh and the Ninth, but as the solid, forceful composition which it is.
Naturally Toscanini will be pissed off
My fav, watched many many times
so natural,nice
wow
amazing!
